Sandi Olson
I have lived many years in Salt Lake City, Utah, where I pursue art for fun as well as a part-time career. Many of my paintings still have a tinge of New England in them--the influence remaining from my roots growing up in Massachusetts.
I am a Signature Member of the Utah Watercolor Society, a Member of Merit with the Intermountain Society of Artists, and have received a variety of awards, locally and regionally. In addition to awards in UWS and ISA Spring and Fall and Miniature Shows, I have earned awards in the Spring Salon, Springville, UT; the Braithwaite Museum of Fine Art, Cedar City, UT; Eccles Art Center Black/White Competition, Ogden, UT; as well as the Utah State Fair and other venues.
With over 17 years’ experience teaching art, both privately and in institutions, I continue to be energized by students. Each class is exciting in its own way and I love all of them.
I believe the most important measurement of an artist’s success is the ability to evolve and keep the exciitement of expression alive in their work.
